Appearance & Coloration
The Eibli Angelfish is a striking dwarf angelfish known for its bold contrast and clean patterning. It features a creamy white to pale yellow body accented by horizontal orange striping along the flanks and a distinct jet-black caudal (tail) fin, which gives this species its Blacktail nickname. Subtle blue highlights may appear along the fin edges under strong reef lighting, making this fish visually impressive without being overly flashy.
Temperament & Behavior
Semi-aggressive, especially as it matures. Eibli Angelfish are active swimmers and can become territorial, particularly toward other dwarf angelfish or similarly shaped fish. Best kept singly unless housed in a very large aquarium with careful introduction. With appropriate tank mates and ample rockwork, they can coexist well in mixed reef or fish-only systems.
