Astraea Snails are popular reef-safe algae grazers known for their hard, conical shells and efficient cleaning abilities. They are easy to care for, making them ideal for beginner reefers. These snails help control nuisance algae on rocks and glass, but need stable salinity and calcium levels to maintain their shells. With proper care, they can live up to 2–5 yearsin a reef aquarium. They’re a great addition to any cleanup crew.

Astraea snails are excellent at controlling nuisance algae but can fall onto their backs and struggle to right themselves. It's important to monitor them regularly and assist if necessary. They do not tolerate sudden changes in water parameters well, so stable conditions are key to their long-term health.
