Fauna Marin ICP analyses provide you with all the necessary dosage recommendations in addition to the measured values. Besides the salts of the macro-elements calcium, magnesium, and carbonate hardness, we also offer a range of special trace elements whose function is essential in marine aquariums. Trace elements—unlike macro-elements such as calcium, magnesium, or potassium—are elements that are present in seawater in concentrations lower than 1 mg/l. These include, for example, copper, chromium, manganese, and selenium, but also iron, iodine, and zinc.
The function of trace elements can vary greatly. The knowledge base on the Fauna Marin website provides an overview of the specific function of each element.
